Securities market attracts $12.8 billion, up 12% in 9 months

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam’s stock market mobilised total capital of VNĐ 二 九 二. 一 trillion (US$ 一 二. 八 billion) in the first nine months of this year, up  一 二 per cent compared to the previous year.

On the stock market, as of September  二 四, the VN-Index reached  一, 三 五 一. 一 七 points, an increase of  一. 五 per cent compared to the end of the previous month and up by  二 二. 四 per cent compared to the end of  二0 二0. Market capitalisation reached VNĐ 六. 九 quadrillion, up  三0. 六 per cent compared to the end of  二0 二0.

In September  二0 二 一, the average trading value reached VNĐ 二 七. 六 trillion per session, down  四 per cent compared to the previous month. In the first nine months of  二0 二 一, the average trading value on the market reached VNĐ 二 四 trillion per session, up  二 二 四 per cent compared to the average in  二0 二0.

By the end of August  二0 二 一, the market has  七 三 七 stock codes and fund certificates listed on two Stock Exchanges and  九0 一 stock codes trading on the UPCoM with a total value of VNĐ 一. 六 quadrillion, an increase of  七. 六 per cent compared to the end of  二0 二0.

On the bond market, by the end of August, there were  四 三 五 bond codes with a listed value of more than VNĐ 一. 四 quadrillion, an increase of  二. 九 per cent compared to the end of  二0 二0. The average trading value on the bond market in September reached VNĐ 九. 七 trillion per session, up  一 五 per cent compared to the previous month.

In the first nine months, the average trading value reached VNĐ 一0. 九 四 trillion per session, up  五. 三 per cent compared to the average in  二0 二0.

On the derivatives market, which runs on the large-cap VN 三0-Index and government bonds, the average trading volume reached  一 五 六, 五 三 一 contracts per session in September, down  三 八 per cent from the previous month.

In the first  九 months, the average trading volume reached  二0 七, 一 七 一 contracts per session, up  三 二 per cent compared to the average of the previous year.

As of September  一 七,  二0 二 一, open interest volume (OI) reached  三0, 六 五 七 contracts, an increase of  一 per cent compared to the end of the previous month and a decrease of  二 四 per cent compared to the end of  二0 二0.

For covered warrant products, the average trading volume in September  二0 二 一 reached  一 九. 八 五 million warrants per session, an increase of  九 五 per cent compared to the previous month. Average trading value reached VNĐ 四 二. 七 billion per session, up  五 一 per cent.

In the first  九 months, the average trading volume of covered warrant reached  一 八. 七 八 million warrants per session, an increase of  五 九 per cent compared to the previous year's average; average trading value reached VNĐ 八 一. 三 billion per session, up  二 七 六 per cent. — VNS
